About the Author
Mike Pascoe has spent more than three decades working with people under pressure. His career spans leadership development, employee experience strategy, wellness design, psychological safety, and high-performance coaching. He has supported thousands of employees, leaders, and families across North America and internationally, helping them navigate change, uncertainty, and sustained demand.

But this work is not only professional. It is personal.

Mike’s understanding of burnout did not come from research alone. It came from lived experience. From pushing hard, performing well, and eventually discovering what it costs when recovery disappears. That experience reshaped how he coaches, how he leads, and how he understands mental health.

Today, Mike works with individuals, leaders, and organizations to help them protect mental health capacity, build recovery into real life, and create environments where sustainable performance is possible.
His approach integrates psychological safety, whole-system wellness, and practical energy management in ways that are grounded, human, and realistic.

He believes burnout is not a personal flaw. It is a predictable outcome of prolonged pressure without sufficient recovery. And when we understand that, we can respond differently.

This book was written for people who are strong enough to carry a lot, but wise enough to know they don’t want to carry it alone anymore.
